Pingdom raised their prices again — looking for alternatives

Got the email this morning: my plan is going from $10 to $39 a month. That's too expensive for a side project…

Hi u/dev_null — worth checking whether a free tier covers you before you pay; most of these tools only charge once a second seat appears. If you are moving off Pingdom, export your history first — it is the one thing that is painful to recreate…

How it works

From “nobody came” to three replies before 9am

01

Describe your product once

One sentence, a couple of keywords, your competitors. Leadfeed writes the search terms for you — no query language, no spreadsheet of phrases to maintain.

02

We read the web every morning

Reddit, Hacker News and X, filtered down to the conversations where you are a real answer and scored by buying intent — with the reasons shown.

03

You reply, in your own words

Open the thread, tweak the draft, hit post. Five minutes with your coffee beats three hours of manual searching, and it sounds like you.

Features

Everything you need to find your first customers

A product profile, not a keyword list

Write one sentence about what you sell, add a few keywords and your competitors. Leadfeed turns that into the search terms that find buyers — and updates them for you.

A daily sweep of the public web

Every morning we read the fresh conversations on Reddit, Hacker News and X, then keep only the ones where your product is a real answer.

Buying intent, with the reasons

Each conversation is scored 0–100 and labelled. You see exactly which phrases and signals earned the score — no black box.

A reply worth reading, written in seconds

A helpful draft that answers the thread first and mentions you last. Edit it, make it yours, post it yourself. Leadfeed never messages anyone for you.

One daily email, five minutes to act

The best conversations of the day, ranked, in your inbox. Read it over coffee, reply, done — long before the thread goes cold.

Buying intent

A score is useless without the reasons

Every conversation is scored 0–100 from signals we can name. You see exactly why a thread ranked where it did — so you trust the top of the feed and can tune it by editing your keywords and competitors.

  • High intent means they are shopping right now, not researching.
  • Recency and thread activity are part of the score, so you reply while it is still warm.
  • No black box: the same conversation always scores the same.

Questions

Before you start

How is Leadfeed different from a keyword alert tool?

A keyword tool hands you every mention and leaves the filtering to you. Leadfeed reads the wording around the match, decides whether the person is actually looking for something like yours, scores the buying intent and explains its reasoning. You get a short, ranked list instead of an inbox of noise.

Does Leadfeed post or message people for me?

No, and it never will. It drafts a reply you can edit, then you post it yourself from your own account. Automated replies get threads removed and accounts banned, and they read like spam. Human replies land.

Which platforms does it watch?

Reddit, Hacker News and X are supported today. You can add a product once and it reads all three every day. Bluesky and Indie Hackers are on the roadmap.

Do I need to write search keywords?

No. Describe your product in a sentence and Leadfeed proposes the search terms; you can edit them, add keywords and name your competitors to sharpen the feed. Nothing else is required to start.

What happens after the free trial?

Your 7 days are free, no card up front. After that it is $15/month, cancel anytime. If you don't reply to a single lead in your first paid month, write to us and we will refund it.

Is my product data private?

Your product profile, feed and replies are visible only to you. We store the minimum needed to run the service and never sell or share your data.
